The striking appearance and exotic, wild beauty of the Bengal cat resulted from the crossing of a domestic cat such as the Abyssian, Burmese, Egyptian Mau or American Shorthair with a wild Asian Leopard cat (prionailurus bengalensis or felis bengalensis.). The Bengal originated in America in the 1960’s and is a new domestic exotic breed, first registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) in 1983 and was first exhibited in shows in 1985 in the new breed and colour division.
We first fell in love with this wonderful, unique breed when acquiring our first female Bengal kitten. Bengal cats have an instinctive fascination and love for water, which they inherited from their wild ancestors. They are very active and love to climb trees, play or explore and will sometimes keep themselves occupied for hours with the simplest of toys, which they will fling in the air, hide and then retrieve. Bengal’s thrive on human interaction, love and companionship and it has been an immense privilege sharing our home with these magnificent felines.
The Savannah is a very exciting new larger exotic, elegant, hybrid breed that resulted by crossing the African Serval to various domestic breeds. Savannahs are still quite rare and are breathtakingly beautiful cats with long legs, neck and ears. They are extremely friendly, playful, social and intelligent cats and have an almost dog-like quality about them. The aim of the Savannah breeding programme is to create a domestic cat with the physical characteristics distinctive to the African Serval but with a domestic personality.
Our aim is to produce top quality F3C Savannah kittens (SV x SV) and SBT Bengal kittens with exotic wild looks and friendly, well socialized personalities. Our kittens are very special to us and it is of paramount importance to secure a loving permanent home fo each of them where they will enjoy a long, healthy and happy life.
